Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu My dad, Nickson Nwankwo joined the Biafran militia which later became the Biafran Army in 1967. He was drafted to fight at calabar and then owerri front where he fought combantantly without rest for 2 & half yrs at the war front. He rose to the rank staff sergeant before his battalion was withdrawn to the rear. His batallion was redistributed and he was drafted to works as one of the escorts as to Major Gen. Phillip effiong .
