Most of the fashion challenges people face after 30 is with their bodies. There would be so many body changes you never imagined can happen to you.

Maybe you used to be a very slender, flat tummy, fit and trim kinda person and you never imagined your tummy would bulge out one day. Then, as you advance in age, your body experience changes and life begins to happen. This is a reality for both men and women.

Potbelly as it is popularly called is an issue for a lot of folks but it’s not as bad if you know how to dress it up.

The easiest way to deal with bulging excess skin or stomach is to wear some kinda body wrap i.e body suits, full body corset, body magic etc. but then we know how uncomfortable those can be for some people.

If you are the type that likes to feel free and comfy in your outfit, here are tips to help you smash with that potbelly.

Wear Fitted Clothes: Not too loose, not too tight. Loose/ big clothes just don’t fit and tight clothes are just out of it!
Fitted clothes are just perfect for anyone but for that excess skin, avoid tighteners too. Belts would hold the waist and cause the excess skin/tummy to spill over and it just won’t work fine.
For women, try peplum. The loose bottom of a peplum top helps to cover the excess skin/stomach.

Try Accessories: Accessories are beautiful. They are fashion enhancers and they look so good on anyone. You may want to try a hat. It would help to balance the shape from up to waist level. Accessories are some kinda distractions as well. You can do some blings, brooch etc,

Do More of Dark Colours: Black is so cool. Dark colours would hide the excesses and they work just well.

Shirts are Nice Too: Shirts are very good and even better if you do not tuck them. So, when next you are stepping out corporate/semi-corporate/casual try flying out that dark coloured fitted shirt and smash!
