What You Need To Know About Stretchmarks
Stretchmarks occur as a result of skin expansion and shrinking maybe due to growth i.e pregnancy or weight gain. Stretchmarks most often appears in the stomach, thighs, shoulder/armpit area, hips/butts and chest.
Both men and women experience it and it is usually not so irritable. Though sometimes things like bleaching and tummy-scratching during pregnancy can increase stretchmarks and cause it to appear really visible and a lot of people do not like it as it prevents them from wearing certain kind of outfits i.e. sleeveless and shorts.
Generally, stretchmarks fade away with time but there are also ways to help get rid of them using cream or natural methods.
Using creams that contain Collagen, Vitamin-A, Coconut oil and Aloevera (especially after pregnancy) and consuming food rich in vitamins A, C,D, E & zinc can help. Also, staying hydrated, controlling your weight can help to fade them. Some say that laser therapy can help to treat stretchmarks faster and better than the natural methods but there are no guarantees.
Stretchmarks may not look too cool (depends on individuals) but it does not pose any health risk so you can either treat it, manage it well and still wear whatever you like. It isn’t that bad.
