There Is Nothing More Pleasurable Than Enjoying What You Do

Teamwork is a great idea until you're paired with people with bad work ethics.


I've met colleagues who do not care about timelines. Some don't bother to read mail trail. Some just can't care to care if the job was done or not. 

It's worse with superiors who prefer to "set you up" rather than coach you.

Then there are the ones who derive pleasure in frustrating other people's work. Not because they know better but simply because they started out like that with bad superiors. It was done to them. So, they pass bad vibes onto others.

 Good bosses love to mentor others and I have met a few. 

 I place these two above everyone else I have worked with. Abiodun Akanbi was my boss more than 10years ago and I still haven't met anyone as patient and willing to see others succeed like him. Femi Awoyemi is not a soft boss at all but he has that ginger that would leave you yearning for excellence and nothing less. 

There is enough room in the sky for everyone to fly. A lot of people don't just get it! 

 No matter how much I shine, you can still "shine your shine". The moment you start seeing people/situations as competition you begin to lose focus and you just can't win like that. 

A former colleague once told me that there was no need to pre-inform me about meetings with clients since it wasn't a fashion show and she didnt see the need for anyone to bother about appearance. This was a PR specialist.... The irony.

I can manage with some of these issues but irrespective of whether it favours me or not, my biggest turn off would be office politics. It can be very demoralizing and unproductive!

The moment I get a sense of it, I'm out!

If you're happy, you're more likely to be successful.

Ends-meet or not, my peace of mind is not negotiable.
