The Beauty of a Mother’s Back

Taking care of a baby is a full time job.

They’re growing & developing every day right in your face. Before you learn how to manage one situation, you’re faced with a new one.

Your baby is hitting new milestones every week & you can’t really catch up on all of them.

Babies can be very needy and clingy. 🤗

They want 100% attention. They want to be with someone all the time (especially mommy) but apart from taking care of baby, mommy has so much to do around the house.

You’re mostly hoping that the baby can sleep for a while so you too can take a break from baby sitting and quickly do some chores.

know most moms would have bought the baby (front) carrier but that would only help when you’re outside (socializing).

How about when you’re home alone? 🧐

The house has to be clean, food is needed, laundry has to be done. Along with caring for your baby, your surroundings need to be taken care of.

Imagine trying to cook with your baby in front position. How would you even manage that?

Babies have a funny way of jerking out of sleep the moment you put them down. Some won’t even stay in their crib or play with their toys. They just want to be with mommy.

How do you handle all these as a mom?

Many moms don’t have/get help especially those who live in big cities where everyone is busy minding their business and making ends-meet.

You’ve just got to keep keeping on.

If you’re a first time mom, you may not know that strapping your baby on your back is one of the best techniques of navigating motherhood and babies love it!

Once your baby passes three months you can start this system.

The first time the baby won’t take it and that’s okay because it’s totally strange to them at that point.

You try again another day…

The second time the baby may stay trying to figure it out for a few minutes before fighting for freedom.

By the third or fourth time your baby would have come to understand that position as a beautiful spot.

Whenever you want to do chores or put the baby to sleep quickly (especially after feed), just strap the baby to your back and get on with your work.

The baby will collapse within minutes.

No amount of noise would get wake up even light sleeping babies.

They just love the fact they are strapped to mommy. Hearing your heartbeat and feeling your warmth.

…And you do not have to worry about checking up on your baby et al.

You’re getting things done and taking care of your little one at the same time and everyone is happy. That’s the beauty of a mother’s back. 😊

Motherhood is such an amazing experience. A mother’s back is like a joker in a game of cards.

I see you sis! 😘

Nice one Claudia but I don't know how to back a child. I have never done it for my 5 babies. Whenever I try it, my chest hurts. So, I don't bother. Somehow, I did all my chores without backing them. We learn how to cope one way or the other.
