Don’t ignore the signs!!!

Image
“The Signs You Ignore Today Might Be the Reason You Leave Tomorrow” Claudia Nwankwo Life often gives us subtle hints when something isn’t right. As minor as they may seem at the moment, can accumulate over time and lead to bigger issues down the line. Ignoring those early warning signs can result in more significant problems, sometimes prompting us to make drastic decisions like quitting.  It is important to pay attention to them: See why. 1. Constant Discomfort One of the first signs many people ignore is a persistent sense of discomfort. This can manifest in several way. As frequent headaches or stomachaches, or emotional distress, like anxiety or sadness. When we feel uncomfortable in our environment, it's our body's way of signaling that something isn’t right. Over time, this constant discomfort can lead to emotional exhaustion, ultimately forcing us to make a change. 2. Lack of Fulfillment Another common sign is a lack of fulfillment. Whether it’s a job that doesn’t chal...

This life no balance

Image
Life's unpredictability never ceases to amaze me. One moment, we're riding high on the waves of happiness, celebrating milestones like weddings or new jobs. But just as swiftly, we find ourselves grappling with the rough currents of challenges, be it marital issues or work stress.  One moment you’re enjoying friendship the next time you take stock you’re total strangers. Sometimes you’re happy and healthy, next your health fail or tragedy strikes. A little buoyant, a little broke—Big wins here, big problems there, small victories, and little troubles.  It's a rollercoaster of emotions. This life, truly, no balance! Amidst it all, we learn to survive the highs and lows, we embrace the journey with resilience and grace.  In all, nothing must take away our hope. The only choice we have is to remain positive because the only option we have is to keep living.

No excuse for bad behavior

Image
Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of hot takes on divorce—particularly the way society expects women to tolerate badly behaved men, while those same men just want to "enjoy life."   I’ve always believed that the best response to cheating is to walk away. But since many people frown upon divorce, they often try to justify staying. On the other hand, some see cheating back as a way to level the playing field—because, let’s be honest, people rarely behave well when there are no real consequences.   First of all, we need to acknowledge a simple truth: adult actions are deliberate choices. You have to be incredibly unserious to dish out what you wouldn’t be able to take.   It’s honestly exhausting how people bend over backward to make excuses for bad behavior, dismissing it as a mistake or misunderstanding. This kind of leniency only enables a cycle of irresponsibility and harmful patterns. Adults—by virtue of their age and experience—should be held to a standard of sound judgmen...

Being a mom is truly the best job in the world

Image
Being a mom is often called the toughest job in the world—and any mother will tell you that’s absolutely true. But ask her if it’s worth it and she’ll likely say it’s the most rewarding role she’s ever had. As a mom myself, I can say without hesitation that while motherhood doesn’t come with a paycheck, the joy and fulfillment it brings are priceless.  From the moment you hold your child for the first time, you step into a role that is all-consuming yet deeply fulfilling.  You become their protector, teacher, confidant and biggest cheerleader. You witness their first steps, hear their first words and celebrate every milestone, big and small. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and laughter.  There are sleepless nights, endless piles of laundry, and moments of pure exhaustion. There are days when you feel invisible—when no one asks how you’re doing but even in the chaos, there’s an unshakable sense of love and purpose. The way your child’s face lights up with excite...

Character is important: Don’t overlook it.

Image
When it comes to selecting a life partner, there are numerous qualities to consider: compatibility, shared interests, and physical attraction, to name a few.  However, one often underestimated yet crucial factor is character. The essence of who a person truly is, their moral compass, integrity, and values, plays a significant role in the success and happiness of a relationship. Character isn't just about being a good person; it's about possessing qualities that define who someone is at their core. Here's why character should never be overlooked when choosing a partner: Foundation of Trust : A person's character is the foundation upon which trust is built. Trust is vital for any relationship to thrive, and it stems from knowing that your partner is honest, reliable, and consistent with their words and actions. A person with integrity acts with honesty and principles, even when no one is watching. Trust is the cornerstone of any relationship, and without integrity, it cru...

The Power of Reciprocity: Let People Use You a Little.

Image
In a world often driven by self-interest and personal gain, the concept of letting others use you may seem counterintuitive.  However, beneath the surface lies a powerful principle: reciprocity and loyalty. Letting people use us a little is an investment in the strength of our relationships.  When we extend ourselves to others, even if it means allowing them to benefit from our resources or support, we sow the seeds of loyalty and mutual respect. Reciprocity is a fundamental aspect of human interaction, deeply ingrained in our social fabric. It is the understanding that when we give, we are likely to receive in return, albeit not always in a direct or immediate manner.  By embracing the idea of letting people use us to some extent, we create a foundation of trust and goodwill that can enrich our relationships and communities. But what does it mean to let people use us a little? It's about offering assistance, lending a helping hand, or providing resources without expectin...
