Officers and friends celebrate Mr. Tajudeen Gbadamosi as he bows out of active service.


T.A Gbadamosi as he was popularly known was former Deputy Comptroller of Immigration and Passport Control Officer (P.C.O), Alausa passport office before his retirement from service.


An embodiment of hardwork and team-spirit, Mr. Gbadamosi was an amazing officer whose impact would remain among colleagues for a very long time. He was one of the finest officers who worked tirelessly to ensure that the positive reforms led by the Comptroller General of immigration, Muhammad Babandede was not in anyway undermined. No doubt, his absence would be felt.



The incoming Passport Control Officer (PCO), DCI John Dashe described their relationship as very cordial and promised to uphold the standards that the outgoing PCO, Gbadamosi has set at Alausa passport office. 


Barr. Adeyemi Akinlolu who graced the event with his wife, Olayinka Adeyemi who is Director of public prosecution at the Lagos State Ministry of Justice said, that the outgoing PCO has been a long time friend. He described Mr.Gbadamosi as a hardworking man who possess high level leadership qualities and prayed that the good Lord will preserve him as he goes on retirement.

Other guest who spoke at the sendforth event including ACI Adeniji Gbadegesi and rtd.ACI Anthony Oko all described the outgoing Deputy Comptroller of Immigration as an honourable man whose work is premised on love, support and service.


 "I personally would describe him as very friendly and professional. I rate him high in terms of service delivery and conflict resolution. He ran an open-door policy at Alausa. You could walk up to him with your complaints and trust him to resolve them. Mr. Gbadamosi was an outstanding leader and I wish him a happy retirement"-Claudia Nwankwo, public relations specialist.




He received gifts from the entire workforce at Alausa passport office including the maintenance staff. Also, from his friends and landlord association of his residence who also presented the outgoing PCO with gifts.


In all of these, one thing is clear, he is a people person, loved by many.

Born in 1961, Mr. Gbadamosi joined the immigration service in 1991 as Assistant Superintendent of Immigration (ASI) and rose to the rank of Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI) and is notable for his professionalism and dedication to duty.

He was deployed to Alausa passport office as Passport Control Officer in February 2020. With several awards and recognition for his outstanding performance from within and outside the service.

He is now retired after 30years in active service.

He is happily married with seven children.
